William, LeeLee, Billy & Alexandra Smith

Billy "William Stanley Smith III" graduated from Beaches Chapel School in 1979. He married his childhood sweetheart, Anna “LeeLee” Nettuno, also a graduate of BCS, class of 1980.

They have been married for over 20 years and have two children, Alexandra and William. When it came time for Billy and LeeLee’s children to start school, they felt there was no choice.

They both knew Beaches Chapel School had played a significant role in shaping them individually, and even though it was a great sacrifice, they were compelled to enroll both their children in BCS.

Their daughter, Alexandra, BCS Class of 2001, is currently attending Jacksonville University on a Dance and Academic Scholarship. She speaks openly about her love of her years at Beaches Chapel and the life-long impact she feels it has had and will have on her life.

Their son William, BCS Class of 2004, graduated from Fletcher High School in May 2008 and is thriving because of the incredible foundation he received in his 10 years at Beaches Chapel School. William is a faithful member of the Beaches Chapel church youth band and plays many instruments. He is a college student majoring in music. All four family members acknowledge the deep and abiding work that was done in their individual lives while they attended Beaches Chapel School.

They are forever grateful for the spiritual and academic foundation they received, and would not trade it for anything. Billy and LeeLee are active members of Beaches Chapel Church, where Billy has played bass guitar with the Praisers for the past 19 years. They are active in the BCS Alumni Foundation, and dream of one day sending their grandchildren to BCS!

Jennifer Shepard, James McDonald, Lisa Burdette

Lisa graduated from BCS in 1989, and she and her husband James have two children, Gabe and Laney, both students at BCS. Lisa sings with the Praisers Worship Team at Beaches Chapel Church.

Jennifer graduated from BCS in 1992. After earning her Elementary Education degree from UNF, she taught in the public school system for five years. While in her first year of teaching at BCS, Jennifer and husband Rob received the happy news that they were expecting a baby. Their son Jacob was born in June 2007.

James is on staff at Beaches Chapel Church as Youth Minister, and along with working with the Senior High, he has formed PRIMER, a ministry to 18-25 year olds. He leads worship in our school chapel services several times a week, and plays drums with the Praisers, the worship ministry at Beaches Chapel Church.

Lisa, Jennifer and James are the children of our lower school principal Vicki McDonald, and her husband Jimmy.

Rachel McElroy Shaughnessy

Rachel Shaughnessy was a student at Beaches Chapel School from 2nd grade through 8th grade, 1980 - 1986. Carol Lee was one of her teachers during that time. She was on the BCS Basketball team her 8th Grade year. Rachel and husband Jon have a daughter, Hope and a son, Cameron, both BCS students Rachel received her BSN in nursing from Jacksonville University, and is active with Club 5, the parent association at BCS.
